May 7, 2007 at the American Rose Society's annual Miniature Rose Show and Convention, the Ricky Hendrick rose was announced, a red mini-flora rose was hybridized by Dennis Bridges of Bridges' Roses and named "Ricky Hendrick." Linda Hendrick expressed, "We are so honored and privileged to have our son, Ricky, live on in the name of this beautiful rose." Described as "Lovely and classically formed rose blooms of rich, deep velvety red, usually blooming one to a stem with tremendous substance on a slightly spreading plant with medium semi-glossy green foliage. Bloom 2", Petals 26-40," this rose embodies the enduring legacy of Ricky's spirit and passion.
