August 7, 1999, Ricky Hendrick claimed his 5th NASCAR Winston Racing Series Late Model Stock victory at Concord Motorsport Park. This race marked his first win with DuPont as the primary sponsor, but it was also his last Late Model series win as he transitioned to compete in the Busch Series.
